I see questions posted all the time on the local groups for Moms that say, “It’s gross outside, what can I do with my kids today!?” or “Where can I take my kids today that is both indoors and fun!?” Here are a few ideas of great places in the Greater Nashville area!
Nashville Public Library
The main Nashville Public Library is FREE to visit and features the Ryman puppet stage, Nashville Skyline reading fort, , tunnels, a climbing wall and a high-tech Tween Space for 9-13 year olds! Check out our calendar for more information on the weekly story times offered or the library website.

Cornerstone Church, Madison
This is another FREE option just north of Nashville! Cornerstone Church one of Tennessee’s largest indoor playgrounds, a toddler playground, and outdoor playground and a coffee! Extra Tip: The church’s Cornerstone Kids ministry also host regular Parent Date Nights for only $10 per child from 6-10pm!

Cool Springs Galleria, Rivergate Mall & Opry Mills Mall Play Areas
All 3 of these malls have great kids areas for kids to play in and it’s great for little energetic legs to run down the mall to the playground from the entrance too! 😊 The Opry Mills playground is located just outside the Children’s Place store and features interactive musical instruments and charging stations for your phones!
Cool Springs Galleria – 1800 Galleria Blvd, Franklin, TN
Rivergate Mall – 1000 Rivergate Pkwy, Goodlettsville, TN
Opry Mills Mall – 433 Opry Mills Mall Dr, Nashville, TN
This is a personal favorite for me because you’re knocking two birds with one stone! Entertainment for the kids and a cheap/easy lunch (or breakfast or dinner)! Their wi-fi is pretty sweet for those of us who need to get a little work done while the kids are entertained. Check the website for the Nashville area locations and check in with the location closest to you for special events. Sometimes they do story times!
Not all locations have a play area, and some are better than others, but we keep this one in our rainy day rotation as well!
Circus World, Hendersonville
This place is normally $4-20 per child depending on the day of the week and what activities you want to do. They have an indoor climbing gym and ball pit as well as roller skating, bowling, laser tag, bumper cars, bungee trampolines, arcade games, Conway’s Bar & Grill and prize counter for redeeming arcade tickets!
This gym has activities for babies through high-school age children! Check the schedule for your activities geared toward your childrens ages.
Monkey’s Treehouse, Franklin
Monkey’s Treehouse has a large play structure, train tables, doll houses, a pretend city, riding toys, dress-up activities and an art center! They also have a separate section for babies – 2 years of age to keep your littlest ones entertained and safe.
Sky High Sports, Nashville
Trampoline freestyle Court, dodgeball, super-sized foam pit, kids court for little jumpers & Sky High Café & Arcade! Check out Munchkin Monday on our calendar every Monday for ages 6 and under!
